Changes in version 1.32 in relation to 1.31
- Operation logging has been improved: system messages are more comprehensible, redundant LF characters which were produced while displaying error messages received from remote servers are removed.
- Autmatic log file erasing on Tiny-Mail start is now an option.
- The following error has been corrected : in version 1.31 when POP3 "Catch all" option was enabled the receiving of very long headers could produce in an abnormal program termination. In version 1.32 this error has been corrected.
- An error that could result in POP3 service blocking for a single mailbox directly after activating it has been corrected.
- An error that resulted in temporary lack of automatical Dial-up connection establishing in Windows 2000 has been corrected.
How to upgrade from an earlier version ?
To upgrade your Tiny-Mail from any earlier to the newest version follow these instructions:
- When upgrading on Windows NT4/2000 from the version below 1.40, be sure to switch off the option of running TinyMail while starting Windows BEFORE you upgrade!
- Ensure, that Tiny-Mail is halted. It's not possible to upgrade Tiny-Mail while it's running. To halt Tiny-Mail click the right mouse button on the icon near the system clock and choose "Shutdown Tiny-Mail".
- If you wish you may save your old version of Tiny-Mail by copying all content of the Tiny-Mail folder (as default - the following path C:\Program Files\T-Mail\) to a different location. Remember to make a copy of that folder and not to move all the existing files.
- Run the installation program and ensure that the destination path is the same as that of your previous Tiny-Mail version.
- Run Tiny-Mail. The previous configuration and the content of your mailboxes have been kept unchanged.
